A win for Griffin in Silverstone!

Irishman Matt Griffin gained a well deserved place on the top step of the podium with Italian team mates Marco Cioci and Piergiuseppe Perazzini in round 4 of the World Endurance Championship Pro-Am class held at Silverstone, Northamptonshire this weekend.

Racing the AF Corse – Waltrip run Ferrari 458 GTE Griffin, who took over from Perazzini two hours in to the race, soon started climbing up the ranks and had placed the car 1st in class by the end of his 2.5 hour stint. “Silverstone is my home race as I live in Northamptonshire so it’s a circuit I know very well. I did a long double stint and managed to bring the car from 5th to the lead, Marco then brought the car home.”

The busy GT Driver left the podium elated and headed straight to the airport to board a flight to Kuala Lumpur where he is hoping for more of the same, here Griffin will be teaming up with Clearwater Racing in the famous Merdeka 12hr race held at Sepang International Circuit this coming weekend.
