With just a week to go to the start of the 2014 season, Wicklow’s Sean Doyle has announced details of his plans for the year. Seán will again drive for Morgan Dempsey’s MCP team in the new FF1600 “Champion of Mondello” series. The series runs over four race weekends at the Kildare venue, two on the 2km National circuit and two on the longer 3km International circuit. With plenty of interest in the new-for-2014 series, it’s looking to be an excellent championship with plenty of stiff competition but the experienced Dempsey relishes the challenge for his team, ”I’m really looking forward to this season and I have a good feeling about it!”
Seán will drive the car he drove in the Formula Ford Festival and the Walter Hayes Trophy , the 2000 Van Diemen chassis and has attracted some new backers for the season. “I’m delighted to announce that I have the support of “BOSS”- Byrne Overall Security Solutions, Brand Match, an online marketing communications platform, as well as Wicklow Tyre Services and I will be announcing more partners in the coming weeks.” said Seán.
Seán will also carry a Nissan logo on the car as he has been signed as Brand Ambassador for Nissan Ireland once again in 2014. “The relationship with Nissan is fantastic” said Sean, “and we have embarked on a number of exciting projects together, such as the Blind Drive competition at the National Ploughing Championships!”
Seán works at Mondello Park as an Instructor and will also carry a Mondello Park logo on his car for 2014, as well as continuing his blogs here on Motorsport.ie
