Garry Jennings, fresh from his win at the Topaz Donegal International Rally, looks set to try his hand at a double rally this weekend.  The Fermanagh driver is due to line up at the Quinn Body Repairs / Sligo Park Hotel Sligo Stages Rally today followed by the Sean Conlon Memorial Forest Rally in Cork on Sunday.

The Sligo Stages Rally, which will see Shane Maguire leading the cars off as top seed in his Subaru, takes place over three loops of three stages on Saturday.  Jennings will pilot a Toyota Corolla with Herbie Blackburn on board as the young driver will look to continue his current run of excellent form which sees him placed second in the Irish Tarmac Championship.

Jennings will face a stiffer test in an Impreza on Sunday at the Sean Conlon Memorial Forest Rally in Mitchelstown in Cork, the fifth round of the Valvoline Irish Forest Rally Championship.  Jennings is third in the Forest Championship leaderboard but it is last year’s champion, Owen Murphy who will lead them off as top seed on Sunday.  Colin Britton who leads this year’s Championship is second seed in his Mitsubishi Evo 9, while Kevin Barrett will also be involved in his Subaru WRC.
