I have to begin by saying that my debut in the Future Classics class at the Vee Festival (supporting the amazing Lauralynn charity,) was an unexpected venture which I was certainly unprepared for but unbelievable. The rollercoaster began with driving my adorable Fiesta XR2 for the first time on the Friday before the event, with racing on Sunday only... [Read more...]

It’s been about two years since I’ve driven a Formula Sheane but last week Motorsport.ie’s Leo Nulty approached me and asked would I be interested in driving his Formula Sheane at the weekend at the Dunlop Formula Vee Festival. So as usual with last minute things it was a bit of a rush on Friday morning before testing we had to change... [Read more...]

I woke up Saturday morning to lovely warm weather and... [Read more...]

Well we are all getting used to the heat now, but racing the M3 in these conditions is like doing a workout in a sauna! Nevertheless, we learnt from the last day that the car was a handful in the heat so Murray´s put a lot of work in since the previous round to improve the car’s stability and it was immediately evident in Friday´s practice sessions.... Expect close spectacular action from The Formula Vees this weekend
So it’s Formula Vee Festival time again this weekend at Mondello Park. This is always a great event, with the Formula Vee committee going to great lengths to bring new faces to the Kildare venue. As ever, there are bouncy castles, face painters, entertainment in the Clubhouse Bar on Saturday evening etc but more importantly, there is a packed... [Read more...]
