For the last few months the Irish Strykers Racing Championship has been pushing itself as an affordable racing series. This started towards the end of last year when there was a number of cars rented in Mondello Park and also for the weekend at The Park. This prompted the lads to get a new look website and dedicate a few hours a week to their Facebook... [Read more...]
A Trip to Mondello- with Patrick Cummins
Ireland’s motorsport pedigree has been a wave of inconsistency over the past century. From early days, high calibre events such as the Gordon Bennett race and the Circuit of Ireland have attracted an international crowd and aesthetically, Ireland has proved to be a majestic location for the setting of road rallies. The major drawback that the... [Read more...]
The Highs and Lows- (and Highs Again!) With Johnny JOMO
April 21, 2013 by Johnny JOMO
Ian's JOMO Integra leads the ITCC Production Class pack down to turn one.
Motorsport is made up of highs and lows, and we had both over the weekend. It started well, all the little things done and the graphics were finished by Anthony Kellaghan on Friday afternoon, great job. Saturday started very well, Ian did a couple of shakedown laps on old tyres, and he was very happy with the car. Practice session 2, and he was flying.... [Read more...]
An Exciting Year Ahead- with Mark Keane
Unlike many drivers, I’ve been waiting longer than just the winter to get back behind the wheel. In 2010, I had to throw in the towel on kart racing and since then I had done nothing but spend countless hours trying to find a racing series within my budget, but it was to no avail. Then last July, I bought a ticket for The Race2Race competition, unaware... [Read more...]

Holstein Ready for ITCC Challenge
April 9, 2013 by Leo Nulty
The ITCC kicks off this weekend at Mondello Park and Holstein's M3 should be a frontrunner.
The M3 has been on a diet and should be even quicker in 2013! Former showjumper Erik Holstein returns to the Irish Touring Car Championship this weekend with his BMW M3, which he debuted in the last two ITCC events of 2012. The car has been to weight watchers over the winter and is now sporting some very well finished, light weight fiberglass panels... [Read more...]
Less than a week to go- with Johnny JOMO!
Myself, JOMO and driver Ian Radford didn’t do the recent pre season test day at Mondello Park. The car had been shaken down by Ian a few weeks ago, and with the weather being so cold we decided to do a bit of work on the car instead. We tidied up a few things and took a little bit of weight out of the car. Ian even thought he might trim down... [Read more...]

The 2013 lineup- Ian Radford with "Johnny JOMO" and the ITCC Integra
Hard at work in JOMO’s Kilucan workshop After a really enjoyable 2012 in ITCC it’s time to look forward to the 2013 season. Last season was amazing for us at JOMO, we started with a young Tony Keegan, then just 16. Not just a clean sheet of paper, he doesn’t hold a driving licence, so we had to teach the willing student a lot, and we ended... [Read more...]
