Another GT race, this time from 1985. The works TMC Costin, now into it’s third season, has sprouted a few aerodynamic aids and changed colour from red to green. Running as Team Apple, they also had a horde of other sponsors onboard. Here is another one from the attic. GT racing started in Ireland when the flagging Modsports and Modified Saloon grids were combined giving the MG Midgets and Sprites a chance to race against the various Imp and Mini saloons. Almost exactly 45 years ago to the day, Mondello Park opened as Ireland’s first permanent race circuit. The original layout grew within a year to the extended 2km National Circuit.
