Almost exactly 45 years ago to the day, Mondello Park opened as Ireland’s first permanent race circuit. The original layout grew within a year to the extended 2km National Circuit. The first ever Patch Tyre Equipment Fiesta Championship got under way this week with a busy opening test day on Wednesday and the Championships’ official launch at the Naas Court Hotel on Friday night.
