Not a bad weekend- taking the flag in the Motorsport.ie Integra. Image from Cregornews.com
I pretty much retired from racing at the end of 2011. It wasn’t a conscious decision, just something that kind of happened. I had become more involved with Mondello and once Motorsport.ie took off, I did not have as much free time as I had enjoyed previously. Before I knew it, two years had elapsed and with my commitments to Mondello.tv, it was... [Read more...]

Wayne Boyd’s Facebook post showing his novel method of making sure his boots were dry for the final! It was always going to be a strong Festival for the Irish contingent this year. We have a group of extremely quick drivers in the class at the moment, both North and South of the border. Pre event testing seemed to back up this theory, with most... [Read more...]

McKenna intends to conduct a gravel test before heading to Scotland.
Ahead of the 3rd round of the BRC, the Scottish rally in Dumfries on the 29th of June, there has been much speculation about what direction the most recent winner of the prestigious Pirelli Star Driver (PSD) nomination would take for the remainder of the championship. Daniel had plans on the back burner that if he were to secure a PSD nomination in... [Read more...]

First things first, I needed to take stock- that’s a polite way of saying I had no idea how many cars I had and in some cases where they are! I was half shocked and half proud... [Read more...]

FF1600 stalwart Karen Kissane took up the baton and contacted as may people as she knew with a picture of the... [Read more...]

The Northern Ireland Ford Fiesta Championship has proven to be a real success amongst clubman competitors looking to get started in racing. Photo: Con Connolly
It would appear that Tin Top racing may once again be within the reach of the man in the stand with the news that a series will be run for 1.25 Zetec Fiestas at Mondello Park in 2013. This series has run with success in Kirkistown and the regulations will be identical- allowing competitors to do a few rounds of each if they prefer as well as both series... [Read more...]

As I said, it was a busy weekend! Photo: Jennifer Tonin
Barry Rabbitt at the wheel of the Motorsport.ie/Race2Race.com Formula Sheane that I bought that week! Photo: Michael Chester Well, as well as a race report, I thought I would do a blog of my own weekend, just for a change. I have not raced all year, and the commentary and Motorsport.ie have kept me busy. In the week coming up to the Leinster Trophy... [Read more...]
