Take It Outa That: Tadgh says it like it is!

Sure that’s it- the season is over. Bit of rallycross now should keep me going over winter I suppose. Stayed in the stand for the first one last Sunday- saw the peoples champion T Bone Tommy watchin all the action and the oul Fiesta sittin at home. Maybe he will have a go in one of those new Buggys- they didn’t look too bad! Bit nippy back here on the emerald Isle. Been globetrotting lately ya see. Straight
from Kirkistown to see the Sheane finale-(well done Brian Hearty by the way- not often you see an OAP win a race championship- what’s the rest of em at at all?!)- to Hong Kong. Then it was a ferry to Macau to check out he track build for the WTCC race. Not a bad oul track, maybe we should have a round of the Formula Sheanes and ITCC
there next year! (At least some of them Sheane lads would get the cheap travel!) The lads building the track were fierce lazy though, I had to step up to the mark and get involved myself. Used to work on the sites back in the day so mixing a bit of cement is not a bother to me. Had a look round the Museum too, had a sit in Sennas F3 car and Schumacher’s too. Good to see me oul friend Martin Donnelly on the list of winners,
even if they did spell his name wrong. Good few bikes on display too including Robert Dunlop’s PJ O’Kane Racing RC30, he won on that in 1989, !
Went to Brands Hatch last weekend to give the Aron Smith lad a hand- he didn’t do so bad I suppose! Lovin’ it when he passed JP in race one “Outa the way chief or you’ll get another portion”, wha?! That was nearly as good as when I rocked into the Redstone Racing garage on the Friday night and there as the whole team sitting in front of the telly, watching the coverage of the Formula Sheane Leinster Trophy race. Nothin to do with the fact that the “not unnattractive” Lauren Taylor was helpin’ that Nulty lad with the presenting of course. (That’s a quote from Alan Hyde by the way, I wouldn’t have been as PC if asked to describe her if you get my drift! Suffice it to say, young Smith
must be as handy at pulling the laydees as he is driving a BTCC car…)

After a quiet word with the Douglas Motorsport chaps, Murray & Watson, shur didn't they go out and get a double podium on Saturday afternoon! Young Murray grabbin the win! Photo: Jennifer Mullan
The voice was gone from shouting that weekend, bad enough supporting Aron but David Dickenson was flying too in the oul Bill Cullen specials. Had a pint with me oul mate Cliff Dempsey in the Kentagon too, they have finally allowed me back in there after that nasty incident with the barmaid a few years back….. Might even nip over there for the Formula Ford Festival this weekend. Good irish entry in Kents I believe. That generally means a few late nights in the Kentagon… Better pack the Solpodiene…

Museum is free and next to wine tasting one too!
