Japanese Formula 3 race winner Gary Thompson completed a two-day test with SGC by KCMG in Formula Nippon machinery yesterday (20 November), as the Dubliner took to Fuji Speedway during the championship’s end of season test to round off his 2012 season.

The Aviation Display and Cebu Pacific Air backed youngster was presented with the opportunity to test the Formula Nippon after his strong showing in the 2012 Japanese Formula 3 Championship, which saw him establish himself as a key front-runner in the series with SGC by KCMG.

Thompson conducted a series of setup and development work with SGC by KCMG over the two-day period, edging just outside the top ten, whilst also impressing the team with the feedback that he was able to provide.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to SGC by KCMG for giving me the opportunity to test over the last two days,” said Thompson. “I’ve really enjoyed myself and it has been a great experience for me as a driver.”

“I hope that it has helped the team with the setup and development of the car, It’s certainly a car that I want to race in the future.”
